"Aaron “Amor” Jones isn’t the typical rapper chasing fame and fortune. Amor Jones makes music from the heart; he would be writing music even if there was no such thing as a rap career.

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Jones began writing rhymes at the age of 14, shortly after his grandmother passed away. Writing was like therapy.

Less than a year later, at 15, Jones would construct his first full song. This lead to a full pursuit of all things hip-hop. While his passion was undeniable, Jones’ friends were skeptical.

“I was told in school that I’ll never be famous because I don’t rap about crack,” Jones remembers with a smile.

Soon before graduating from high school, Amor Jones released Epic Failure. Despite the title, Jones’ first official mixtape turned out to be a success.
